What is this product used for?
The purpose of this product is to assist the body in purging unwanted visitors from the digestive tract.. which means its intention is to cause not only diarrhea, but diarrhea in conjunction with a disconnection of parasites from the intestinal wall (which may result in a small amount of blood).
It is important that you expect your pet to have some level of diarrhea and a small amount of blood when using dewormers – it is important to allow this process.
However, it is also important that you do not accept a level of diarrhea that is dehydrating to your pet and you do not accept a large amount of blood. Ensure that your pet has access to increased amounts of clean water and that you take your pet to the vet if diarrhea or blood becomes excessive with the use of this product or any deworming agent.

Black Walnut
Juglans nigra (ground hull)
Black walnut contains a high level of a chemical constituent called Juglone. Recent studies have show that juglone exhibits properties which are:
- Anti-cancer
- Anti-bacterial
- Anti-viral
- Anti-parasitic
Wormwood
Artemisia absinthium (leaf)
Wormwood is one of over 500 species of Artemisia - an herb known for its anti-cancer properties. Artemisia is high in Quinine - a primary constituent of anti-malaria and anti-parasitic medications. It is also anti-fungal, and antioxidant. As stated previously, parasitic infections and fungal overgrowth can both be root causes of allergic conditions. Wormwood can improve both issues. Even with the addition of anti-inflammatory and immune boosting herbs, the body will continue to have allergic symptoms if the root cause, such as parasite or fungus, is still present.
Witch Hazel
Hamamelis virginiana (bark & leaf)
Witch Hazel is an astringent herb. This means that it contracts tissues in the digestive tract, thus “squeezing out” parasites. Witch Hazel can contribute to the detachment of parasites in the intestines, thus allowing them to be more effectively eliminated from the body.

Cautions: Diarrhea is the body’s natural mechanism for purging unwanted visitors. Severe diarrhea will cause dehydration. Mild diarrhea with use of this product is acceptable if your pet is drinking well. If animals’ condition worsens or does not improve, discontinue use, and consult your veterinarian. Not for use during pregnancy.
Contraindications: Consult a veterinarian before use if your pet has liver disease
Dosing
Initial Dosing
Because Parasite Free is intended to help eliminate unwanted and parasitic visitors in the digestive tract, diarrhea may ensue with the use of this product. As previously stated, this isn’t a bad thing unless it’s severe.
Sensitivity, however, is dependent on the individual. A pet may be more susceptible to diarrhea from this blend if they:
1) Have a particularly large parasite/protozoa load to eliminate
2) Have a particularly inflamed digestive tract
3) Have a pre-existing digestive problem
4) Are taking medications that contribute to loose stool (such as an antibiotic with a side effect of diarrhea)
It is recommended to start with ¼ to ½ of the suggested dose only 1-2x/day. If it is well tolerated, increase to 3x/day. If it is well tolerated, increase closer to the suggested dose. Once you are providing the suggested dose in the suggested frequency, continue this blend for 30 days to ensure that the life-cycle (and reproduction) of the parasites is fully treated. Early discontinuation of use for any reason besides negative response could result in re-proliferation of parasites.
Sprinkle over food or steep as a tea
*Up to 20lbs – ½ tsp 1-3x/day
* 21-40 lbs – 1 tsp 1-3x/day
*41-80 lbs – 1.5 tsp 1-3x/day
* Over 81lbs – 2 tsp 1-3x/day
